My Experience

At present I work as a training development and technology specialist in the Office of Lab Animal Resources at Anschutz Medical Campus. In my current role, I help develop, design and publish training materials and video based projects, new hire onboarding, develop eLearning modules,  I perform follow-up on new hire training. I also serve as a departmental IT, which I help in the purchase, set up, troubleshooting and management of end point devices.

My Philosophy

As a fresh graduate, I have worked at the Ministry of Agriculture in Eritrea where we use to teach and demonstrate the use of technology along with improved breeds in increasing egg production for farmers. All of them had hens that lay 50-70 eggs a year and we were teaching them to use breeds that lay 300+ eggs and use technology to attain productivity, that is when I witness how improved technology could change productivity.

Working at the office of Lab Animal Resources we were integrating visual instructions in our work place training documents, but I always had a feeling on  how I could be part of this ever changing technology so that I could learn it, understand it, and use it to identify problems and make solutions tailored in the  advancement of  the training program.

I believe improved learning design and technology is the present and the future of learning.
